TRENDS | Miu Miu ballerinas

ENGLISH | ITALIANO Which girl did not wish to become a ballerina? Well, except me obviously. In recent years ballerina flats have been overshadowed by loafers and trainers but for the Spring/Summer collection Miu Miu proposed ballerina flats with a punk twist that make them unique. And, although I don’t want to be an etoile, I’ve fallen for these satin ballerinas anyway. They are perfect paired with a long dress and even more with vintage jeans. SHOP THIS ITEM Advertisements

Mansur Gavriel Spring/Summer 2016

ENGLISH | ITALIANO The pair of New York based designers behind Mansur Gavriel made their accessories brand exponentially rise since 2012 when it was founded. The brand was know for their inconic bucket bags and finally this spring they also launched the shoes collection. The aestethic of Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavrie can be summed up with no-fuss shapes and pop colours. And the love for colours even permeates their Instagram profile which reflects the philosophy behind their accessories. Among the Spring/Summer standout pieces: mules in suede and in patent leather and the circle bag in different measurements. As per the colours palette pink and brick-hues overcome the other shades. If you are looking for statement accessories to enhance your everyday outfits I suggest you to keep an eye on Mansur Gavriel products. I just added to my wishlist the suede mules in brick and the circle bag in pink!

Back to Basics – Fashion Haul

As you may have noticed from my last post I have done a bit of shopping in the past weeks and it didn’t stop with beauty and make-up. When I go shopping I am usually very instinctive and I end up buying eccentric items forgetting about the basics therefore I took advantage of the sales for buying basic clothes. Firstly, I decided to do some online shopping on Asos because I didn’t find anything interesting on physics shops. I read on internet people praising about Ridley High Waist Ultra Skinny Jeans so I bought a pair of black ones in Petite. I am a quite short girl so it’s difficult for me to find jeans or pants that fit me good without shortening them and the Petite lines that some brands as Topshop or Asos do are life saviour. Also, I chose Kimmi Shrunken Boyfriend Jeans in mid wash vintage and a Soft Casual Shirt in blue. The two jeans have a completely different fit but I love both: Ridley jeans wrap my legs perfectly …

Zara haul

In the past two months I’ve had some special events and -of course- I needed new clothes. Also I have been loving the last Zara collection so it happened that I made a big splurge in there. 1. Oversized denim vest – 39.95 EUR | I own slighlty oversized shirts and blazers but they are usually quite minimalist. Following the new grunge wave, I decided to go for this extremely oversized vest – especially for my tiny figure – and  every time like it makes me feel like I am living in the 90’s. 2. T-shirt with pocket – 19.95 EUR | Who doesn’t need a good white T-shirt? I am quite demanding when it comes to T-shirts because I feel like they have to be soft on the skin, not too stiff or see-through and this one has all the requirements. 3. Wide trousers with belt – 59.95 EUR | I bought these pants for a job interview and I paired them with a white silky top. I am not as tall as the model and, despite it’s a con most of the times, in this …

Collecting shoes around China

In my last trip I took tonnes of photographs but I am not brave enough yet to start picking out some of them so, instead, I decided to post this little series. I know that the fact I went around taking photos of shoes may seem quirky however I found that the Chinese habit of leaving their footwear on the doorstep was very cheerful and also inspirational. So that’s all! I will try to divide all the pictures I took according to themes, as I did here, to make my picking work easier and to show you very soon all the beautiful places I visited. Stay tuned!

About black ankle boots

Yesterday, while I was walking home, a heel of my boots has broken. My boots, my ankle boots, my black ankle boots. One of my favourite black ankle boots. Then I realised I have way too many black ankle boots – flat, heeled, cut-out, preppy, edgy – and I have been wearing nothing but that type of shoes for the past few months. May I call that obsession? Maybe yeah, but they are my Linus’ blanket for the autumn-winter and they match perfectly with any outfit. Those are a few items I might wear: My broken friends will be repaired in a short time but there’s a major problem: the impending spring. What I am going to wear when will be too hot for my black ankle boots? The new trend is slip on sneakers: we will see if they will be able to win a place in my heart and to replace the black ankle boots.
