THE ITEM | Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipsticks

If  I have to choose just a type of lipsticks, I will surely go for the sheer ones. For a night out or a special event I dare to wear a bold lip but the 90% of time I am late and I just run out of the door and put on the lipstick while walking. Plus, I am fascinated by those 60’s icons like Jane Birkin or Brigitte Bardot with their luscious lips with just a hint of colour. Now, even though I do not have those full lips I am always looking for the perfect lipstick to recreate that effect. Because of this reason I accidentally started putting on my Chanel Rouge Coco Shine collection through the years and I would have bought even more shades if these lipsticks weren’t so pricey.

THE ITEM | NARS Audacious Lipstick

NARS lipsticks are always on point. In fact, I love every lip products I’ve tried from this brand – above all the Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella – so when everyone in the beauty sphere started talking or writing about the Audacious Lipstick range I could not help buying it.  I wanted to try Ingrid because I saw it on a lot of youtube videos but unfortunately we don’t have all the original 40 shades here in Italy. In the end, I choose the Jeanne shade which is a semi-matte cherry red with a hint of brown. It has a long lasting formula and gives a high coverage without over drying the lips. I love the bold lips trend and I wear this with a natural eye make-up and a lot of mascara. Now I am torn whether to buy an orangey red shade from the Semi Matte line or not. I let you guess what my final decision will be. Have you tried yet this new NARS line? If yes, what did you think about it and what colour would you recommend?

How to deal with an everyday early awake

If you follow this blog you may have noticed that I haven’t updated it recently, the reason is because in the last month I got graduated, I moved to another city – for your own interest now I live in Milan- and I have started working. In the past year I didn’t have a lot of university classes so I was unprepared to start waking up early in the morning everyday and still looking socially acceptable. Plus, my job has to do with fashion so I am constantly surrounded by people that pay attention on their appearance and  had to learn some quick tips that can be useful to don’t look washed out every morning – warning, I am still not able to be polished and chic like Olivia Palermo but I am trying guys. 1. Always apply a foundation, but opt for products with a sheer and luminous finish instead of high coverage and extremely matte ones. After that go and conceal all the redness and imperfections and your face will appear fresher and younger than using a full coverage concealer. 2. Take with …

Marc Jacobs Beauty launch

Earlier this week the Marc Jacobs beauty collection for Sephora has landed in Italy and it consists of a whole range of products and accessories. The first thing that pops up is the posh and luxurious packaging  and you might almost take these confections around as accessories. The range of colours is incredibly up-to-date and I added so many products to my wish list first of all the Lolita Palette that contains seven eyeshadows. I had the opportunity to try this piece and I can say that they have a silky texture and they are simply wonderful and perfect for a nude look. Down belown there are all the products I tried: – Genius Gel – Supercharged Foundation: it delighted me. It has a medium coverage with a matte but silky finish and it seems to don’t have anything on the skin. My Make Up For Ever Velvet Matte foundation is running out and this one is on the list for my next purchase. – Remedy Concealer- Concealer Pen: it’s a light coverage concealer and I think that its texture …

Moodboard #1 – A Touch of Red

Since I spent the past month strolling around China I had the opportunity to notice how Chinese girls dress. The fashionable girls are not afraid to put on rainbow colors, chunky boots or fluffy coats but basically most of females – they could be children, business women or elders – wear something red in her outfit. So, when I came back in Italy and I passed by an entire shop window of red Dolce & Gabbana’s, I decided to make a brief resume of some red inspirations from runways and commercials.

Lipstick junkie

I have to admit it: I have collected way too many lipsticks by the years. For an everyday look I like to sport mylipsbutbetter products anyhow this fact didn’t stop me from buying bright lipsticks for whatever occasion – like going to the Oscar red carpet or a fashion show (ehm). CHANEL Rouge Coco Shine in 88 Esprit | That is my most used lipstick ever in fact I put it on My Make-up Essentials and it’s a dark rose perfect for my pigmented lips. CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in 57 Insolence | I am not very into lipglosses and this Chanel one is my only item of the category. Despite my reluctant attitude this gloss, that I bought a long ago, has a very good formula not too liquid and with an acceptable coverage. Another pro for Chanel products is the sleek and luxurious packaging, which is one of my favourites out there. Kiko lipsticks are underrated products and they combine both good price and quality. The KIKO Luscious Cream in 505 and the KIKO Velvet …
