New Year, New Beauty Haul

header Happy 2015 everyone! In fact, even if it is already mid January and I had some days off to work this is the first blog post of the year.

Despite my Christmas holidays have been relaxing – ehm, boring – and sickly and then I had a hectic return to work I found the time for doing some birthday/christmassy shopping anyway. But, even though I bought most of these items during the sales, I ended up buying items not on sale.

For what concerns skincare, I have a very sensitive skin and sometimes it tends to have acne. Currently my skin it’s not that problematic – also thanks to Braun Face – so I decided to try a clarifying serum to even out my complexion. I bought the Kiehl’s Clearly Correcting Dark Spot Solution paired with the Ultra Light UV Defense Moisturizer. Even if it’s too early to look for results at the moment I can say that I quite like how these products feel on my skin.

Also because of my kinda flawless skin period at this time I didn’t need high coverage foundations and concealers, plus I wanted something light on the face since I have to wear it for almost ten hours at work. Since everyone seemed to love them I decided to try the L’Oreal True Match in Vanille and Clarins Instant Concealer in 01 and after testing them for a few days I have to join the buzz. As I said above their coverage is not the best out of the bunch but when I really need to conceal imperfections I have my old KIKO Full Coverage Concealer.

For an everyday look I love sheer lipsticks and you can definitely tell since it’s the third Chanel Rouge Coco Shine that I own. This time I opted for the shade Rebelle which is a bright sheer red and I have the feeling that my collection is going to grow soon.

nail polish

I have a thing for fuchsia nail polishes but it’s hard to find the right shade so, while I was messing around on Asos, it seemed legit to me adding to the cart this Berry M Gel Effect Nail Polish in Pink Punch, along with other fashion related items (a fashion haul is on your way). I tried it on as soon as I received the order and although I can’t see the pros of the gel effect I absolutely love the shade.

tools and pencils

Last but not least I bought a Sephora Stippling Brush, 113, which I personally use to diffuse the concealer and two pencils: KIKO Precision Eyebrow Pencil in 02, which is a dupe for the most renowned Anastasia Brow Wiz, and MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in Staunchly Stylish, a “my lips but better” shade great to recreate a measured Kylie Jenner look.

I hope you found some interesting products in this haul, if you want a specific review on some of them you just have to ask in a comment below.
